Six Trust schools (Beanfield, Oakley Vale, BWA, CBA, CTS and KSA) attended the Carnegie Shadowing event at Brooke Weston Academy where students met to discuss this year's shortlisted titles and vote for their favourites. Each student took part in a quiz and had the opportunity to 'book push' when they talked about their favourite book and why it should win. CBA Librarian Amy McKay spoke to students about the best young adult fiction available at the moment before the students had a chance to vote.   'The Day War Came' won the Greenaway  prize while 'The Poet X' had most support in the Carnegie category. The actual results will be livestreamed at lunchtime today (18 June 2019).
