High Praise for Brooke Weston Academy
Brooke Weston has been congratulated by the Minister of State for Schools on its latest round of GCSE results.
Mr Nick Gibb MP wrote to congratulate the school on its summer 2015 results.
The percentage of our students achieving five or more GCSEs at Grades A* to C, including English and Maths, means Brooke Weston is one of the top 100 non-selective state funded schools in the country.
It also shows the greatest sustained improvement in the percentage of students achieving the same measure between 2013 and 2015. Additionally the percentage of our students achieving the English Baccaulaureate also places our school in the top 100 category for that measure.
Mr Gibb recently wrote to BWA Executive Principal, Miss Trish Stringer, saying ‘Thank you for your work in these important areas of a young person’s education and congratulations again to you and your staff for your hard work and professionalism.'
