Oakley Vale’s Year 1 students perform Nativity play
Year 1 children at Oakley Vale Primary School put on a barnstorming Christmas nativity play with lots of songs that delighted the audience.
The half hour long show included all the usual Christmas elements of baby, shepherds, angels and wise men, but it was the addition of a mouse and a boy sweeping out the stable that added a further twist. The students enthusiastically sang catchy musical numbers, including the unforgettable ‘Prickly Hay’ and finished with a sport of dancing as well.
It was a lovely festive performance so thanks to all the students who took part, the teachers who put in so much time and effort to make sure the students were word perfect and the audience had a Christmas story to remember! The young stars of the show will be performing the play again this afternoon.
