Congratulations to our A Level students!
We would like to congratulate all of our Sixth Form students receiving their A Level results today. Secondary schools from across the Trust are welcoming students back for the first time in months.
The Trust is immensely proud of the resilience and adaptability of our wonderful students, who, like others across the country, have had to cope with examinations uncertainty in the spring term, the subsequent impact of lockdown and not sitting exams, followed by missing milestone rites-of-passage such as leaving ceremonies and Sixth Form proms. Today they have a socially distanced A Level results day like no other, but we are really delighted to see everyone again.
In every Brooke Weston Trust secondary school expert staff are on hand to give support and guidance. Equally importantly, we are all here to recognise and celebrate the success and achievements of our young people. We are very proud that there are many individual student success stories from each of our secondary schools and we will be posting their good news stories, achievements and future plans on our school and Trust websites and social media.
Secondary Executive Principal Anne Hill said: ‘Throughout this difficult year our staff and Principals have worked incredibly hard to provide education and care to all our students, to help them achieve their very best outcomes. We have a huge amount of success to celebrate across our Trust schools and I’d like to thank both students and staff for remaining positive and professional and achieving results at this level, despite the obstacles they faced over the last few months. Once again, and despite the most trying of circumstances, our schools and students have done us proud!’
Trust CEO Dr Andrew Campbell said: ‘I would like to pay tribute to our brilliant students, as well as the phenomenal staff and school leaders who have worked alongside them to ensure no-one is left behind in these highly unusual circumstances. Whilst the vast majority of students have the grades they require, we are working tirelessly to help every student continue on their chosen pathway. On behalf of the Brooke Weston Trust Board I’d like to add our congratulations and express our admiration for all students in our own schools and others across the country today who are receiving results. We wish everyone the very best with their future endeavours.’
