TCA students have 100-word stories published
Students from Thomas Clarkson Academy, who were challenged to write a 100-word thriller, have had their worked published in a book.
Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in the national Young Writers’ competition, with TCA sending off more than 300 entries.
As part of their literacy lessons, students explored the theme ‘trapped’, using tension and suspense to draw the reader in. They had the choice of using the story starters or creating their own to develop their short story.
More than 100 of the entries from TCA were published in the SOS Sagas book, which featured entries from five different schools.
