Developing inclusive leadership practices with The Difference's Inclusive Leadership Course

At Brooke Weston Trust, we are deeply invested in developing inclusive leadership practices and exploring how we can accelerate the impact of Inclusion through adopting a systemic Trust-wide approach.
As part of this, we are engaging with The Difference's Inclusive Leadership Course - a programme which equips educational leaders with the tools and insights necessary to create inclusive learning environments.
By working with The Difference, we are committing to, and creating, an understanding of inclusive leadership and educational equity.
Our aim for our first year is for our Principals and Vice Principals to complete this training. This will then be followed up by working with an Inclusion expert from The Difference to develop a BWT Inclusion Framework.
This will serve as a guiding set of principles for all schools within our Trust, striking a balance between providing overarching guidance while allowing for bespoke adaptations to suit the unique needs of individual schools.
The framework will follow an asset-based model, where we will look to amplify existing good practice within our schools whilst also identifying where else we can adapt existing practice to be even more effective.
Working on relational practice for all colleagues across the Trust will mean that many of our students will never need to access intervention programmes and Success Centres.
